Driving gets more costly in Florida with toll increase

The state of Florida made about $2.5 million collecting $2.50 from drivers on Alligator Alley last year.  Beginning at 6 a.m., June 24, tolls on Interstate 75’s Alligator Alley, which runs between Naples and Weston, will increase by 50 cents for all cash-paying drivers. New law calls for documentation for disabled parking passes -

Under a new state law, 1.36 million Floridians who use blue permanent disabled parking permits will have to provide documentation of their disabilities each time they renew those permits.
